Germany’s annual Gamescom is the largest gaming conference in the world. YouTube wanted to capitalize on the moment by introducing mixed reality and VR180 video to top creators in a memorable way.

To get gamers excited about creating VR180 content, we decided to put them at the center of their favorite games and help them develop exclusive gameplay footage they couldn’t get anywhere else.

We created a mobile mixed-reality studio that allowed us to film action sequences in front of a green screen while influencers interacted with different virtual worlds. We then exported the immersive content onto drives so they could upload their personalized adventure reels directly to YouTube.


Our pop up was the most popular activation on the YouTube floor. Over the course of five days, we helped 38 of YouTube’s biggest gamers create their first mixed reality and VR180 content, generating over 6 million views on the channels.
